Rep. Alan Grayson: $12 trillion Gone and Nobody Punished

One of the many attributes that I love about Congressman Grayson is that he is consistent in his messaging and has never wavered since joining Congress on his battle to ensure that those that were responsible for 'the financial meltdown' of our nation, will not and should not go unpunished.

Did the Republicans violate our national security?

Do I have the right to ask this question?

Did the Republicans violate our national security by playing politics with the Christmas terror attack to the point that they forced the attorney general to reveal confidential information to the public?

Why do people vote against their own interests?

The Republicans' shock victory in the election for the US Senate seat in Massachusetts meant the Democrats lost their super majority in the Senate. This makes it even harder for the Obama administration to get healthcare reform passed in the US.

Political scientist Dr David Runciman looks at why is there often such deep opposition to reforms that appear to be of obvious benefit to voters.

Last year, in a series of "town-hall meetings" across the country, Americans got the chance to debate President Obama's proposed health care reforms.

President Obama to give Job Fair/Summit at the Biltmore Square Mall

... Psych

"This is just a little dream from a big thinker."
First: you give the jobs fair

Then: you give the speech

Obama: I'll never stop fighting for jobs

Finally, the news story would looks like this:

Thousands of potential Democrats attend the President's job fair

That would be an undeniable example of the President looking out for the people.

Parties risk it all on health care reform

As health care legislation staggered erratically through Congress this year, something happened to the biggest domestic policy debate of a generation.

It turned small—shrouded in arcane arguments over a “robust public option” versus co-ops, whether government funds could indirectly subsidize abortions, and even the state share of Medicaid payments in Nebraska.

Now the debate is about to turn big again.

I'm still happy with Barack Obama!

I have mixed feelings about the results so far, but unlike many so-called "progressives," I'm not ready to jump ship. I don't like the "surge" in Afghanistan, I don't like Obama's choice of financial advisors --or what they've done so far, and I don't like what happened to the healthcare bill. But Obama's not entirely to blame for all that.
