google downers

When I google Gore/news, the majority of posts are negative despite all of Gore's achievements. How does that work? Is that due to public scrutiny or Media's addicition to negativity? Is it rigged? What can we do to get more positive posts higher or more frequently on the board?

I think

it's almost exclusively the result of the recent story about his electric bill, but I've noticed that the most recent stories have been largely positive (the electric bill story is old news).

You'll also notice though that most of the negative news stories that appear when searched on Google are on self-described conservative websites like NewsMax. There are also a few satire pieces that are seemingly negative, but are there more to make fun of Gore's critics. All in all, outside of a flurry of negative pieces from the electricity story, he has gotten really good press.

As I said elsewhere Gore

As I said elsewhere Gore should use his testimony on March 21 to set the record straight about this
energy bill bullshit, with everything from what he in fact promotes (no it's not smaller houses) to the fact that this so-called think tank exaggerated and cherrypicked.
He should talk about everything they have done to make that house more efficient and compare that
to the list of recommendations in the movie, book and the website.
He should learn how many NES consumers do what he does (i.e. buy 100% green energy), he should explain how offsets work, why he picked the CarbonNeutral Company, why it makes more sense to buy green power from TVA than to go off grid and that his company does not sell but buys offsets.

If he lets this hype stay alive he deserves what he gets. It's his job to fight for his reputation.
