Gore, Branson, Set Greenhouse Gas-Reduction Prize
Former U.S. Vice President Al Gore and British billionaire Richard Branson announced a $25 million prize for scientists who can devise a way to reduce greenhouse gases in the atmosphere and help combat global warming.
Branson, founder of Virgin Group Ltd., will award the Virgin Earth Challenge prize money to anyone who develops technology capable of removing carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases at the rate of one billion tons a year. Gore will be a member of a panel of judges that makes the award. The two made the announcement at a press conference in London.
The initiative comes a week after the United Nations Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) said global warming is more than 90 percent likely to have been caused by humans, and predicted temperatures are likely to rise by 1.1 to 6.4 degrees Celsius by the end of this century, with sea levels increasing by 18 to 59 centimeters (7 to 23 inches).

Great initiative!
That's a very nice initiative. It seems to me the scientists have a lot of suggestions. I like discovery documenaries . Often find them at rapidshare SE http://rapidpedia.com . This topic is nicely covered already and the scientists are constantly working at it. the thing is the the suggestions of the scientists have to be checked. Only implementing will prove if it'll work or not.
Greenhouse Gas Carbon Emission Technology
Greenhouse Gas CO2 Emission Reduction
There is a single solution to reduce CO2 emissions from cars.
In fact, any engine burning a fossil fuel energy source can have it's exhaust system cheaply and quickly fitted with Climate Cleanup's Black Box Device and reduce CO2 Emissions by up to 80%.
CimateCleanup.com is in the business of promoting technologies to lower Carbon Dioxide Emissions generated by the burning of fossil fuels in the earth's atmosphere.
Yes, we are proactive in developing technological solutions to cut Green House Gas CO2 emissions.

These sound like a good
These sound like a good device for using on cars but how about having other variations to be fitted on home heating equipment. I'm sure there are more uses any place fossil fuels are burned not just by an engine. I've recently had my home renovated to have new installation, double glazed windows and new appliances to save each year. I'll be looking into climate cleanups black box.
Alternative energy
It is at a time like this that I miss the old site. How does Nuclear energy fit into the alternate energy scheme? It is my only fear that there will be an increased push for nuclear. Besides being anti-nuke I can't imagine how that would look to the rest of the world if we suddenly made a push in that direction especially after our intrusion into the middle east for basically the same thing
