Californians For Al Gore
Al Gore can make some needed changes for our environment, economy, social services, and world events. We need him in office, and his ideas promoted.
Meeting at SICKO opening
Posted June 18th, 2007 by kathrynlgWe all need to get together and talk about what we can do. SICKO, Michael Moore's movie about the lack of health care in the US, is going to be a major issue in the election. It opens at 8 PM at the Tower Theater on Broadway in Sacramento. We can meet at 6 PM at the Tower Cafe' to discuss what each of us can do separately and as a group. Then, we can get signatures on petitions for Al Gore, or I have a link for free tickets if you would like to see the movie.
Please R.S.V.P. for the link, or just come and introduce yourselves.

Gore Supporters Form California Draft Gore Committee
Posted August 15th, 2007 by nooneOrganizers plan to qualify Al Gore for California presidential primary ballot.
SACRAMENTO, CA (MarketWire) August 10, 2007 – Organizers of a new statewide campaign to put Al Gore’s name on the California presidential primary ballot announced today the formation of California Draft Gore, a grassroots political action committee made up of hundreds of Gore volunteers who live throughout the state of California.
Our next President
Posted July 14th, 2007 by kathrynlgI think Al Gore would be a very exceptional President. He does not want to be President. He has far more freedom of expression doing what he's doing. His family has less pressure, and more freedom. In the role he has chosen, he can influence events no matter who is President. We need a Democrat in office. If all the people supporting Gore, don't vote for a candidate that wants to be President, and has a realistic chance of being elected, we will end up with another Republican administration. We cannot have that.
Letter from Gore Supporter:
Posted July 5th, 2007 by kathrynlgThis woman came to our registration booth at the Rancho Cordova 4th of July Festival to register to vote. She wanted to know how to contact Al Gore. I told her to go to the website, but she asked me if I would post her letter for her as she was disabled and wouldn't be able to. She was such a nice person, and so excited about Gore , I said I would:
"Dear Al,
We love you If you run I vote for you and volunteer. You're one of my heroes! You are terrific" Leanne Osborn Rancho Cordova
Our straw pole put the numbers at:
CLINTON 49
OBAMA 33
Meeting tomorrow evening -
Posted June 28th, 2007 by kathrynlgTomorrow night, Friday June 29th, is the opening of Michael Moore's movie SICKO at the Tower theater in Sacramento. I have tried to notify the Sacramento members and groups, so we can meet before the movie.
I have found the movie starts at either 7:00 or 8:00, they aren't certain at this writing. It's being sponsord by the Sacramento4Democracy group.
Instead of meeting at 6:00PM, I will be at the Tower Cafe', next to the theater on Broadway in Sacramento at 5:30PM.
Don't let fear take over
Posted June 15th, 2007 by kathrynlgI received a response to my entry about two loving people from "woodsa", the response woodsa had to the same conversation I heard was to leave the Gore Campaign. The response by woodsba is a perfect example of what happens when fear takes over. I will stay and fight that fear. I believe running away from an organization that can get things done won't get things done. I believe the Democratic Party is the best way for us to make some changes. I believe that Al Gore as head of that party will solidify changes we need and open doors for others.
Get Organized -
Posted June 14th, 2007 by kathrynlgIf the person from L.A. could contact me, or other CA people. We could do use some coordination on this side of the island!
