Al Gore's office has contacted the staff at AlGore.org and instructed them to cease with petition efforts to get Gore onto the state primary ballots. Attached below is the message that was sent out to organizers in response to this communication.

Al Gore is coming to Chicago to sign copies of his book, "The Assault On Reason." He will be here Wednesday, June 6th, at Borders on State St.

I was diddling around and made this generic flyer for folks to use for their Gore meetings. All I had in high resolution format was an old Gore picture so that's what is on the 8.5" x 11" flyer. Post links to your own flyers that we all can use.

A survey by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press, found a "dramatic shift" in political party identification since 2002, when Republicans and Democrats were at rough parity. Now, 50% of those surveyed identified with or leaned toward Democrats, whereas 35% aligned with Republicans.

The Vice President's 10 point plan aims high but also contains no-brainer immediate goals and targets. Whether the partisan group on Capital Hilll can implement any of them is the question.

Don't forget that Al Gore topped Madonna on the all time hit chart for documentaries. An Inconvenient Truth moved into the #4 spot held by Madonna's 1991 documentary Truth or Dare before moving up to #3 over Bowling for Columbine.

Joe Strummer, a musician and former lead singer for The Clash ("the only band that mattered"), was instrumental in setting up Future Forests (renamed The Carbon Neutral Company in 2005). He was the first artist to make the recording, pressing and distribution of his records carbon-neutral through the planting of trees. The Carbon Neutral Company is where the Gore family purchases their carbon offsets.
