McCain caught with hand in MySpace cookie jar

From a first-hand account it is clear what happened. John McCain's staff copied a MySpace template for his new "hip" web page without bothering to read the instructions or comply with the attribution requests, and linked directly to an image in the template creator's account. So the template creator added a little humor to the graphic, which then appeared on McCain's page. This is funny stuff - just don't get mislead by the mass media version of the story, which tries to confuse readers by claiming that this was some kind of "hack" into McCain's web site. McCain's people chose whose image to rip off, not the other way around!
