Dear Mr. Gore, Please run in 2008

Dear Mr. Gore.

I request that you run for president in 2008. I do not look at you as a candidate for Republicans or a candidate for Democrats. I look at you as a candidate for Americans.

For over 50 years I have aligned myself with the Rebublican party. I would have rather eaten glass than vote for a democrat. But I have become so disillusioned over the past few years.

I love America because of freedom. It affords motivated people the opportunities to self-actualize in whatever they choose. There are certain goods and evils associated with the capitalist core. What disturbs me is that I don't think we have to give up capitalism in order to provide basic needs to our citizens. I strongly think a plan should be in place to make sure every American has proper health care without worrying about going bankrupt if a serious illness befalls them.

I strongly believe that we need to get a plan and get out of this war sooner rather than later. It was created with false pretenses and it has lingered way past it's usefulness. To paraphrase Eleanor Roosevelt, no one won the last war and no won will win the next (or the current one).

I strongly believe that we should have a plan in place to discourage and punish imigrants who willfully break our laws and come here and work illegally, only to be rewarded with amnesty. It is ridiculous. Stronger penalties need to be in place for corporations who break the law by allowing these people to work. And, I might add, MORE THAN A TAP on the wrist (more like a Nun with a ruler and a mission).

But Mr. Gore, more than anything, I love my planet Earth. Because the bottom line is we are all human beings co-existing on this earth. You have touched my heart so deeply with your global warming endeavors. I saw your movie and cried for our future. Without our planet, everythig else is rendered meaningless. Dear Mr. Gore, be the candidate for Americans, be the candidate for our planet.

I am not a writer and I am certain there are mispellings and gramatical errors galore, but hopefully the passionate plea will surface.
