Score Another Point For Christian Politics...
CHANGE is coming with Obama; he’s wracking up win after win against Hillary, the most powerful woman ever, in USA politics. So what is Obama really offering? How will he face McCain?
Obama seems to have all the RIGHT stuff. Anyone who watches the big winners, have seen noble people, like Gore and Kerry, lose elections. The Winners on the other side are more “likable” like Bush, and actor/orators like Reagan and Schwarzenegger. If Democrats want to win this time, we better follow someone with the RIGHT stuff (sarcasm intended).
OBAMArama reminds me of the followers of madness with illegal immigration…Over the years, I have seen issues like Immigration UNITE people in a frenzy of misinformation. The same people that cry foul are the ones allowing illegal immigration to continue. Why? Because they want an underclass. An underclass of illegal workers, works cheep and spends money. What could be better? Illegals help keep the costs down for food and other services. The obvious solution to stop illegal immigration seems to be to prosecute employers, but that never happens. Instead people buy into the scam.
I have seen Obama play every card in his deck. I have seen him passively attack Hillary because she is a woman again and again. He gives inspirational speeches and claims he will focus on plans later, and bring change. From what I can see, so far, Obama change will move us RIGHT, and that’s not the Change I’d Hoped to see in 2008. He seems to be running with a platform as a Christian Democrat.
So we’re watching the most accomplished woman politician is USA teetering on the brink of a loss to the popular Obama. The people that voted for him, Believe that someday he will find his own voice, and deliver a speech others can quote for generations. I’m sorry that I don’t have confidence in Obama’s mission. He looks good, and gathers a crowd, and he’s eloquent -- but there is way too much talk about Christianity in a country that is already at risk of deciding that the separation of Church and State is “Outdated”. He puts down Hillary for being a woman albeit in a sneaky way. Obama's underhandedness is obvious to some men and women -- Thank God!. He refuses to take a stand – which I assume is good politics allowing him the maximum ability to CHANGE and maybe he will try and appear more RIGHT than McCain in the Big Race.
Hillary is not perfect, but I feel good about her commitment and leadership ability to work for Democratic change. Obama, he’s a wild card and like Reagan is Inspirational and will likely pull the Democrats RIGHT like no Democrat has in the recent past, IMHO. I BELIEVEd Hillary would win in the race against McCain, and I BELIEVE Obama won't, so the real tragedy is watching Hillary go down.

Be part of the Draft Gore '08 campaign!

oops posted in wrong place.
must amend that - page down to read riveting remarks -
You gotta fight clean here!
There is a lot of rubbish in your post---most of it recycled--hope that isn't what "keeping it green" has come to.
Think Beatles & then maybe you'll get it
It is funny watching, reading & listening to them try to redefine the mania. We have heard him debate over the issues for months. Now we should act as if he hasn't talked about issues.
Here is a major accomplishment. He is outsmarting the suppose to be "smartest," & his grassroots supporters are strangling the life of Repug Nation.
Stop ignoring the obvious before the water rises up to your neck & past your lips. The inevitable will happen & you will drown in the nonsense.
All we need is.....
Love?
Buenos Dias Amigos
It is 10 wins in a row now for Barack Obama. Fear not, gentle friends, Obama is going to be OK.
He is not all eloquent speeches without substance. He wasn't editor of the Harvard Law Review because he dresses well. He's a brilliant human being. If you want to find more specific policy positions there are certainly there to be found. There are a ton of reasons American progressives should support him:
The National Journal has rated him America's most liberal Senator
http://nj.nationaljournal.com/voteratings/
Obama has the highest environmental ratings of any candidate, even higher than Kucinich
http://www.democrats.org/page/community/post/deeannaroberts/CQHY
Barack Obama has a 100% rating on his votes by Planned Parenthood

Learn more about his wonderful wife Michelle. Read 'The Audacity of Hope'. Listen to some of the people who are endorsing Obama, from Senator Patrick Leahy to Governor Christine Gregoire to Ben and Jerry.
It will be great to have a President we can feel proud of.
There are a slew of Harvard Educated Republicans...
There are certainly as many Harvard Ivy League educated, soft spoken (Reagan-like) Politicians, who inspire and write the speeches of their right wing front men. That's why Republicans win so often.
Obama grew up in Hawaii which is an awesome place. I love to watch surfing and always thought it was a gentle sport, because it appears to be so free, tranquil and hypnotic. Then I met a surfer, who told me that behind the image of "peacefulness" it's actually a very aggressive sport -- people fighting over waves, putting razor blades on surfboards (this he said was true, as shocking as I found this to be).
Things are not always as they seem. Sometimes people that look good, and sound good, may not ultimately be good leaders. History has proven that many times.
Wayne, I hope you are right -- people made the right choice -- if he wins... McCain will jump on him way worse than Hillary another Democrat and her supporters have, and he has attacked her as much in an underhanded way -- So we'll see?

compare
I think the League of Conservation Voters say it pretty well, in the link from this page to compare (and contrast) Hillary with Obama: http://www.lcv.org/newsroom/press-releases/obama-draws-distinctions-betw...
Hillary looks like she's lost her irony in the photos I see. Too much prozac in that wide wide happy grin! Go to hell, I don't like you, stop grinning at me and get some results. However. I liked the lists of achievement, I grudgingly have to admit it's nice she worked for compensation for 9/11 workers, for instance. (Did they get any?) And anyhow, legislation is nothing without enforcement. Did her stuff ever make a difference? or were there escape clauses. I really have to read up about this woman.
Unfortunately, I'm not capable of watching this woman or reading about her, so I don't know much - visceral hatred, as I feel for Blair. I'm not sure what to do about it, besides vote for Obama. I don't think this woman can talk about results, though; Obama is Not a wild card, but, does he have the connections, the deals in place, to get anything done that we like? I don't know if Hillary does, she probably has lots of money, though. Pig. I really have to stop. I sure hope she loses. I don't trust her, any further than I can throw her.
I want to know what Greg Palast has to say about her.
*okay, I went back and tried to read the list again. Sorry, I didn't get far; I had to stop and vomit. How does serving on the board of Walmart qualify anyone to be the President of our country?? Surely, it should disqualify them. As for going to China and talking about women's rights, it wasn't about women's rights in China - the meeting was just held there, if I recall. Third world women were disgusted by that meeting - it seemed to be a lot about American women hitting the glass ceiling, and not much about micro-credit, unions, rape, slavery, property entitlement, education, child care, things that really affect most women on Earth. After all, helping women's rights in China I think would conflict with her job at Walmart. Am I right?
In 1977
Obama was 15.
If you stay on the experience track you are handing the podium over to McCain.
Don't you get it? This country was sickened with a severe depressive form of apathy, No change could come from people suffering with this malaise. Obama has been the medicine we needed. It has stimulated people's desire to become involved, to believe that change is possible. And perhaps "yes we can" sounds a bit simplistic but it's this core belief that we will need to accomplish the changes that we must endeavor. It is not going to be easy but there is strength in numbers.
Simple But Effective
It's interesting to consider the phrase "Yes We Can". A very simple phrase and yet it may be exactly what we need. It is empowering, most of all. It builds confidence and expands the imagination. After 8 years of Bush and Cheney it's no wonder people are discouraged, but then, if we don't believe we can make a difference why even try? It's a lot like Al Gore's view that we can solve the Climate Crisis, as serious as it is, if we put our hearts and minds to it. Al, I think we can too.
What's the alternative? If your mantra is "No We Cannot" then all that's left is coming up with excuses as to why nothing can be done.
The American people are thirsting for hope and for vision. We are a hell of a lot better than the neo-con government that's been wasting our money and lives. We deserve better and dammit, we ARE going to get it!
