Reducing co2 emmisions and at the same times helping poor tribes... D.R.Congo - Kinshasa

Dear Mr. Gore,

Basically we are NGO (non governmental organization) working in close collaboration with the government of D.R Congo. What we do is helping poor people in very poor area (villages) in developing them selves.

We are able to get and agreement with the government to have many hectares of dense forest and have them protected against exploitation (Protected sites).

Our main concern is to be able to sell carbon credit to get funds that will serve helping and developing those villages.

The land we are talking about are huge forest as you know here in D.R.Congo so regarding your question on how big it is depending on how many metric tones of Co2 is the client ready to pay for from our side we could get huge area of dense forest protected by law from the government.

So basically again all we are looking for is to make protected sites of forest where we could sell carbon credit for developing this poor area reach in forest only and people very poor.

Hope to hear from you soon in our request in reducing co2 emmisions and at the same times helping poor tribes.

Best regards,
Jonathan Brans
