What has Al Gore established?

I would vote for A Gore if he actually established businesses that work his green thoughts BEFORE the elections. What about introducing real legislation on smokestacks and a company that makes filters for them?
What about hydrocarbon recovery and electrolisys plants?
What about fuel cells?
What about electric cars instead of hybrids?
What about hydrogen/ceramic engines for autos and factories?
What about solar, wind, and filtered air recovery/electrolisys power generation plants?
You could put units on every A/C condensor and intake.
So many businesses could be started but as of right now, when it's important, we hear bleacher bitching instead of field action, propaganda instead of real physical manufacturing and conversions.
It's all hot air meant to inflame those too ignorant to know the truth and galvanize that ignorance into a partisan vote for a "power that be".
Actually do something other than media blabbing, start those industries now, get them viable and grow and propagate them globally and I'll vote for you.
Don't promise to do it, do it.

Truth to power.

Media Blabbing?

Excuse me, but what are you watching and listening to? Rush, Coulter, Bush/Cheney? There's "Blabbing" for you!

Al Gore has been on the front line for 3 decades now, trying to convince all these companies, and Congress, to act on this issue. And check Wayne's post for more...

The "hot air" you're feeling isn't from Gore, it's from the jerks in Washington who have spent the last 3 decades trying to keep him from succeeding!

Pay Attention!

Let's see... what has Al Gore done in the last few years since leaving office?

He's been a professor at MTSU. He's a partner in an investment firm. He's on the Board of Directors of Apple Computer and Senior Adviser to Google. He's a best-selling author. He has had his slide show on global warming made into the Oscar winning most successful documentary of all time. All the while he has been a great father, husband and friend. What the heck do some people expect? Al Gore is just one man.

Want specifics? Here are 10 specific proposals Al Gore gave to Congress when he testified earlier this year:

1) An immediate "carbon freeze" that would cap U.S. CO2 emissions at current levels, followed by a program to generate 90% reductions by 2050.
2)Start a long-term tax shift to reduce payroll taxes and increase taxes on CO2 emissions.
3)Put aside a portion of carbon-tax revenues to help low-income people make the transition.
4)Create a strong international treaty by working towards de facto compliance with Kyoto succesor from 2010 to 2012.
5)Implement a moratorium on construction of new coal-fired power plants that are not compliant with carbon capture and sequestration.
6)Create an "ELECTRANET" - a smart electricity grid that allows individuals and businesses to feed power back in at prevailing market rates.
7)Raise CAFE standards.
8)Set a date for a ban on incandescent light bulbs.
9)Create "Connie Mae", a carbon-neutral mortgage association, to help defray the upfront costs of energy-efficient building.
10)Have the SEC require disclosure of carbon emissions in corporate reporting, as a relevant material risk.
