Folks,
The hottest topic in town is Illegal Alien's and Safe Boarders issue. This is not a USA vs. Mexico thing, yet for some reason it tends to gravitate to this conversation each time.
Can anyone crisply articulate Al Gore's position here? This is highly visible and a rational approach to this will make a difference in having people understand Al's position other then being a Global Warming expert/advocate.
I sent this question in for a Larry King question today - in hope's Al will have the opportunity to address this.

Drugs ?!
acornco, stop talking non-sense, all addicted people belong in the drug rehab with legal drugs that don't do harm! No way legalizing anything, be real.

as long as america stays on the wagon, the government will need a steady supply of narcotics to make more money for the black budget. so if gore wants a chance at presidency he will rabble the same rabble every one else does. free trade roads yes. illegal immigration no. citizen ship for those who made it yes. the more cold war esque propositions will only come about if drugs are legalized. weird, huh.
Anyone with an Answer?
It's all well and good to support Al Gore's candidacy, but I don't think Al would want us to support a candidate (including him) if we don't even take the time to learn that candidate's stance on important issues. Al's push is for reasoned political discussion rather than an emotional knee-jerk reaction. I love the enthusiam expressed on this web site about what Al's theme song should be --- but what about a little enthusiastic discussion on important issues --- including the one Frank asks about?
Frank, I don't know the answer to your question, but I applaud your efforts to find out more about Gore's positions. I'm hoping that if any of you reading this blog do know the answer, you will provide a post or link.
Al's Position on Immigration
Lets hope Al does not favor giving illegals most of our jobs and benefits. I'd rather give Mexico the state of Texas if they would get their people out of the rest of the country. Texas has been and always will be the asshole of our country and they must be made to pay for producing George Bush.
That state is full of LIARS and cheats. Time to flush them south of the border.
