No excuses sir

There is no excuse for Gore not to run for president. It's as if he's admitting that he doesn't believe in the American system anymore. What a cop out. Maybe we should all just resign ourselves to the fact that we live in a country of corporate fascism. Yes we want to fight global warming, but as president he can do that and so much more for the people. In an odd way, he will appear selfish to sit this out as if he's above this politics, democracy thing. Hell, we elected him, he was robbed, he owes the people to set this country back on the right track.

When you sense the time is right then you run if you are ready.

When you sense the time is right you run if you feel that you are ready.
Sometimes everything comes together to make it possible and sometimes not.
Sometimes, even if you know it's time others may not.

In the end, it's always up to that person who chooses to even think about becoming a candidate.

Many of us in our organization have had that experience, some have not.
It's called political acumen or a political 6th sense...just knowing.

This past year, all the signs pointed to a strong possiblity that Gore could conceivably run.
But he wasn't ready and he himself thinks that America wasn't and still isn't ready.

Fact is that, whatever happens, he is still a viable candidate in 4 years espeically if the eventual nominee (presumably Clinton) loses or messes up entirely.
