Posted March 26th, 2007 by rainbowbob"The latest report by the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change says the ice cap is warming faster than the rest of the planet and ice is receding, partly due to greenhouse gases.
But some see a lucrative silver lining of riches waiting to be snatched from the deep. The U.S. Geological Survey estimates the Arctic has as much as 25 percent of the world's undiscovered oil and gas." [Doug Mellgren, AP writer]
Gore hits it out of the park!
Posted March 22nd, 2007 by rainbowbobWe attended the inaugural Draft Gore meeting in Everett last night at the home of Dylan Malone, along with only a handful of others. I predict that after Gore's appearances in Congress, they will soon be outgrowing Dylan's living room. Thanks again Dylan!
If you watched either of Gore’s appearances before the House or Senate yesterday (or saw excerpts on the news between updates on the World-Wide Anna Nicole Smith Crisis) – I’m sure you were as impressed as we were. As Dylan predicted, he hit it out of the park when confronted by his adversaries.
Tuesday event in Everett
Posted March 18th, 2007 by rainbowbobThank you Dylan for your hard work and the personal invitiation to your home. I have invited several people to join me, but was confused when I returned to this site and found the notice of your Tuesday event no longer listed. I expected to see it up on this site until the event was over. What's the deal?

Time to take a stand
Posted March 18th, 2007 by rainbowbobI’ve never been the joiner type, and ever since the Beatles broke our hearts when they disbanded I have tried to resist the “cult of personalities”. Bill Clinton was the last candidate that gave me any hope of real change – and of course he squandered any chance he had. He left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth (OK...I won't go there), and Gore paid for it in his last attempt at the White House. Gore (with the help of time and events) has since distanced himself sufficiently from that administration in a way that Hillary never can.
Even non-political types like me may be moved to get involved!
Posted March 17th, 2007 by rainbowbobI'm not a very political type, nor have I ever considered myself much of an environmentalist, but since viewing an "Inconvenient Truth" I have come to believe that Gore is the only politico with the experience, vision, and electability to make a significant difference in this f****d up world. I figured I wasn't the only one thinking this way, but was surprised to discover that a grass roots movement to draft him is being born right up the road in Everett, WA. next Tuesday at 7:30.

Be part of the Draft Gore '08 campaign!
