Gore Says He Hasn't Decided Not To Run:
Posted December 12th, 2007 by minnieszooMy reasons for refusing to give up on Al Gore running for president are many. It seems that in an interview following his acceptance speech in Oslo, he stated that he had not decided whether to enter as a candidate for President in 2008.
To me, other than Edwards, there isn't anyone in the Dems or GOP, grasping for the White House who doesn't nauseate me. I liked Bill, but Hillary? Not so much. None of The GOP and all but one of the Dems seem to me not to be entirely sane. And all seem to be petty and vindictive.
Mishap At Robson Bight:
Posted August 24th, 2007 by minnieszooRobson Bight is not in US waters. Robson Bight is a protected area near Vancouver Island. This general area is the summer home of the Northern Resident Orcas. Our own Southern Residents inhabit Puget Sound, and the Salish Sea, off the coast of Washington State. Ours are on the Endangered List.
Resident Orcas are fish eaters, and their mainstay food, salmon Years ago, resident orcas were considered dangerous and worthless "Thugs Of The Sea." Now, we know better and they are a highly regarded marine mammal.
Horror At Virginia Tech:
Posted April 17th, 2007 by minnieszooMost of last night I watched Virginia Tech students try to describe the horrific scene on their campus.
They were frightened and shocked that an event so terrible took place on their campus and in their beautiful, peaceful town.
They were referring to the cammie clad soldiers carrying automatic rifles and SWAT teams who were there to protect them. How could could this be happening where we live?
Then I thought about Iraqi civilians and how this scene plays out every day. And how we are there to protect them from evil doers. And only then, did I cry.
Rage Indeed!
Posted April 16th, 2007 by minnieszooMy answer to the wild man who berated me last night. ( I wish I'd said it...)
"I think that the motive that should guide all of us, that should guide all mankind, is to tame the savageness of man, and make gentle the life of the world."
Bobby Kennedy
I often wonder what the world would be like now, had he lived and become president. He had such great potential as a world leader. He was brilliant, but not as cerebral as his brother. There may never be the likes of him again. Gore shares his values. Good men, past and present.
guy follows me into parking lot to yell at me because of Gore bumper sticker:
Posted April 16th, 2007 by minnieszooTonight I was pulling up to a parking space in front of a grocery store. Evidently some guy saw my Gore bumper sticker and followed me into the lot.
Guy: Are you crazy? I can't believe what you have on your car! That guy Gore is the biggest phony on earth!
And on he yelled, more or less making references about my mental health.
I think I attempted to say something kind about Al Gore, as he peeled off the lot and headed back under whatever rock he crawled out from.
How Do You Think Gore Would Respond to What Happened Today?
Posted April 2nd, 2007 by minnieszooA couple of important stories broke in the Mid-east today. Stories that weren't covered by the media here.
1. Israel is under a nationwide terror alert. Don't forget they have great intelligence services.
2. Israeli intelligence reported today that Al Quieda, Hammas, and Syria are planning to attack the United States this summer. Israel uncovered the plot...now what? By the way I obtained this information from Jerusalem online.
why I want Gore:
Posted March 19th, 2007 by minnieszooAl Gore needs to be president because he is a careful, astute, brilliant candidate.
He thinks reasonably and ponders all avenues before he speaks or takes action.
To some, he may seem to be dull, but he uses a chess player's logic, and realizes an entire nation if not the world, would be swept along in the direction he choses.. He is the most experienced candidate. He is the most intelligent candidate.
As a running mate? John Edwards. Although presently, Gore is a non-candidate, I feel he will allow others to spin their wheels, and then maybe step in.
