asking Al Gore to run in 2008!
Please Mr. Gore show that you care!

We need at this time in our history, a strong, honest and dedicated leader.
We must ask Mr. Al Gore to show that he cares about this country as much as he cares for this earth and its environment. It takes a sacrifice to do such a thing, but this country is in danger and we all need his help.
I strongly believe that Al Gore is the only one that would be able to clean this political pollution that has surrounded us in that last six years, killing our ideals and freedoms. He is a serious, honorable and respected man and the whole world (not only the USA) would rejoice if he was president of our beloved country..

Independence Day
Honorable Vice President Gore,
On this Independence Day, I come forth asking you to decide to run for President in the 2008 election. Our country needs you to guide it toward the ideals upon which it was build and from which it has gone astray. It will be a difficult decision, but it takes a true patriot to put the well being of his country ahead of all other interests and obligations. Mr. Gore I know you care for this earth and show that you do care for this country! A person such as you is needed to save it from its destructive march toward the abyss!
As an ocean liner approached NY on a foggy March day in 1956 and the Statue of Liberty appeared, a young girl with her family and hundreds of other immigrants, looked toward her New Land in awe, and wondered what it was all about! So many dreams! So many hopes! …
For the first time in fifty-one years I sense a tremendous insecurity around me. The jobs are lost, the industry non-existent and our health system in the lowest common denominator.
As the true Patriots are disappearing, and the political machine is becoming an instrument of the special interests, a total disregard of the well being of the citizens of this country and the world prevails and a tremendous insecurity surrounds us about our future while we are losing the respect of our friends around the world.
I wonder how many of us on this Fourth of July will take a moment to remember a group of idealistic dreamers that got together and agreed that Unfair Taxation, and the Unbearable Power of Unrepresented Government had to change, even if their lives were put at stake. How many remember and pay tribute to the First American Patriots, who had the courage and strength of character to stand up against a powerful and organized oppressive government?
It takes brave idealists to bring about changes that save societies. Mr. Gore and I believe you are one.
As a natural reaction to the arrogance and disregard of our elected or selected politicians we experience today a surge of hopelessness. Having realized that to vote is just a rubber stamp to special interest groups, people do not vote. Opportunists have infiltrated our government, and are manipulating the system. They are oppressively forcing upon us the will of the few. The very reasons that launched this country into existence and established it as an example to the free world are forgotten and lost. Big money is allowed to sway the vote. We measure the success and electability of a candidate with the amount of money he/she can raise in campaign funds and we totally forget to ask to whom does this candidate owes allegiance?
Ten days before he died, declining the invitation to the Nation’s Fiftieth Anniversary since the Declaration of Independence, Thomas Jefferson wrote:
"May it be to the world (referring to the Fourth of July) , what I believe it will be ( to some parts sooner, to others later, but finally to all), the signal of arousing men to burst the chains under which monkish ignorance and superstition had persuaded them to bind themselves, and to assume the blessings and security of self government. That form, which we have substituted, restores the free right to the unbounded exercise of reason and freedom of opinion. All eyes are opened, or opening, to the rights of man. The general spread of light of science has already laid open to every view the palpable truth, that the mass of mankind has not been born with saddles on their backs, nor a favourite few booted and spurred, ready to ride them legitimately, by the grace of God.”
Dare we destroy that dream?
MR. GORE, PLEASE DO MAKE THE DIFFICULT DECISION TO RUN FOR PRESIDENT IN 2008 AND RESTORE THAT DREAM! PLEASE DO RESTORE THE HOPE THAT USING THE VOTE CAN LEAD TO A BRIGHTER TOMORROW!
