Mayor Bloomberg introduces Gore as "The next President"
Posted April 26th, 2007 by gailwinds
There I was fixing this mornings' coffee with ABC TV on in the background and I here NYC's Mayor Bloomberg saying something about "here's a guy who could really be a candidate for President" and then introduces Gore to the audience as "The next President". I don't know what engagement they were at nor do I have time right now to search it out but it would be a good one to check out to see Gore's response to the intro. It got my day off to a good start!

Sounds like
Music to my ears. :-)
here it is
I found this earlier on that wretched site electgore2008 - a site which raves, yea it froths at the mouth - but at least, one knows what he's up to! I like to keep tabs on him... Unhappily, one is often thwarted, as videos of himself or Tipper, or audio clips, are promised, but they don't stream. Big waste of time and annoying.(In one recent article with clip, in Nashville presenting an award from Current TV, the gormless writer said Mr Gore looked much like he does in the documentary, An Inconvenient Truth. Wow! I thought. Is he thin? already? I never got to find out. But, there is a picture on this link, and he looks nice.

Al Gore, Bloomberg joke about presidential
run
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Former Vice President Al Gore and
New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg traded jokes on
Wednesday about running for U.S. president, but neither gave
anything away amid speculation they might join the race.
Both Gore and Bloomberg, a billionaire businessman and
longtime Democrat who switched parties to run for mayor in
2001, have said they have no plans to run for U.S. president,
but speculation continues.
At a news conference for the start of the Tribeca Film Festival
in New York, Bloomberg described Gore as "the hottest leading
man of the moment" and praised his Oscar-winning
environmental documentary "An Inconvenient Truth."
"His recent success has even prompted some talk that he might
again try for the White House," Bloomberg said.
Turning to Gore, he added: "Al, don't you just hate those
rumors about running for president?"
Gore, the Democratic presidential nominee who lost to
President George W. Bush in 2000, praised the Republican
Bloomberg for announcing over the weekend what Gore called
"gutsy" measures to make New York a greener city.
Asked if he thought the presidential candidates were doing
enough about issues of climate change, Gore quipped: "I think
Mike is."
Here's another conversation, but not yet the rejoinder you're looking for:

I think this is the final word, implying that his comment came after they parted company:
