TIPPER GORE -THIS ONE'S FOR YOU!
Posted October 13th, 2007 by Ecomom2008Today, as Al Gore spoke about the announcement that he has won the Nobel Prize, standing proudly by his side, was Tipper Gore.
Tipper, please remember the phrase that is stated in many ways:
"Beside every great man, stands a woman".
Tipper, Thank you for standing by this great man all these many years! It is clear that you are his rock! He could not have done everything that he has accomplished with out you!
Thank you for sharing him with the world!
Why Al Gore Won the Nobel Peace Prize
Posted October 12th, 2007 by Ecomom2008There are many teachers, professors, and activists who have for more than 40 years taught about global warming and other environmental issues. Vice-President Gore credits Roger Revelle for much of his knowledge about the environment.
What Al Gore has been able to do, with the help of many that he recognizes, is build a consensus that global warming is real. The current U.S. government has been manipulating the scientific data so that Americans would not understand the science, and so that big business would profit.
Al Gore Favored For Nobel Prize
Posted October 9th, 2007 by Ecomom2008While Al Gore is in the Bay Area this week giving his presentations at the Flint Center in Cupertino, and appearing at a Barbara Boxer Fundraiser, Al's volunteers are busy at work throughout California. On Monday, October 8th, volunteers were allowed to pick up the Nominating Petitions to get Al Gore on the Democratic Primary Ballot in February.
In the meantime, the articles online calling Al Gore the favorite for the Nobel Peace Prize multiply by the day.
The Complexity of the 2000 Gore Campaign and the Clinton Influence
Posted October 4th, 2007 by Ecomom2008This November 2007 VANITY FAIR article called "White House Civil War" by Sally Bedell Smith, is a very concise description of the Clinton/Gore relationship from before Bill's Inaugeration to the period when Hillary was running for the New York Senate, and Vice-President Al Gore was running for President in 2000.
AMERICA FOR GORE CAMPAIGN – DRAFT AL GORE
Posted September 28th, 2007 by Ecomom2008There are so many of us across the United States, and as evidenced by blogs on the algore.org site, throughout the world, who want to see Vice -President Al Gore announce that he will be running for President in 2008.
Many grassroots campaigns have links to this site:
AMERICA FOR GORE.
On this site alone I counted 17 grassroots organizations as members.
AL GORE ON THE TONIGHT SHOW
Posted September 18th, 2007 by Ecomom2008Al Gore won the EMMY last night. Tonight, he was on "The Tonight Show". While he was discussing Current.tv, and Current.com, he seemed to be enjoying himself.
I think that Al, considering his up coming tour dates, is posing for the announcement to run.
Jay Leno even posed a question to Al like: "I think you have something to announce"?
I am sure that is a set up for the same question that we are all asking:
"When, Vice-President Gore, will you announce that you will run for re-election"?
MORE AND MORE, I FEEL GORE
Posted September 16th, 2007 by Ecomom2008Last Saturday, I attended my first California 4 Gore meeting. I would guess that there were at least 50 people present just for a Los Angeles meeting. Mother Nature brought us a beautiful environment, our host was welcoming, and our organizer strong and clear.
Today I attended a meeting of the Valley West Democrats in the San Fernando Valley. I was excited to meet new Democrats and I was looking forward to meeting my Congressman, Henry Waxman.
Where Have All The Leaders Gone?
Posted September 4th, 2007 by Ecomom2008Just in case you did not see this discussion when it went around in the Spring, here is what Lee Iacocca has to say:
Where Have All The Leaders Gone? Lee Iacocca
From James R. Healey, USA TODAY
Iacocca maintains blunt style in new book
Lee Iacocca on ...
Presidential candidates
In his new book, Lee Iacocca applies his Nine C's of Leadership to presidential candidates.

Al Gore Will Run
Posted September 3rd, 2007 by Ecomom2008In the August 27th, 2007, TIME magazine, there was an article on Leonardo Dicaprio's "The 11th Hour". I got an email about this movie from algore.com this week. TIME's article questioned why DiCaprio had not endorsed a presidential candidate for 2008.
"Or perhaps he's withholding the coveted DiCaprio endorsement until the man he considers "a great genius of our time", Al Gore, enters the race.
Slate's Coverage of the 2008 Presidential Betting (Not Polls)
Posted August 26th, 2007 by Ecomom2008Well, as I was trying to see where the money was going in the 2008 Election, I happened upon this concept. Betting is actually a better predictor of a Presidential outcome than the polls. So if campaign contributions by big donors are not enough to make you sick about election outcomes, what about the idea that people make money on the outcome.
I guess we all know that people bet on all kinds of things in Las Vegas and Atlantic City. I guess it was just a bit of a shock to see that betting on an election is not something done illegally with a "bookie".

Be part of the Draft Gore '08 campaign!
