Al Gore and Richard Branson offer $25 million Reward Prize for Reducing Global Warming

I am very concerned with climate change. I was happy to read that funding is available by way of reward money for concept ideas to reduce global warming. I read about the $ 25 million prize money set up by Al Gore and Richard Branson in the INTERNATIONAL HERALD TRIBUNE on February 12th 2007. ( See
http://www.iht.com/articles/2007/02/09/business/climate.php ).

I have tried to contact Sir Richard Branson by email at richardbranson@virgin.net but regrettably I was not sucessful. I hereby publish part of the email:

I have a concept idea that is being looked at by an American Investment Company. I would have contacted Sir Richard Branson if I new that he was accessible to new ideas. To date I have not yet signed anything with the American Company. Their level of interest is high since they have taken the time to contact me twice by telephone yesterday 17th July 2008 and they will be contacting me tonight Friday 18th July 2008 to discuss broader details and that could lead to a firm committment.I repeat at the present moment nothing has been finalised.

I was wondering that perhaps Sir Richard Branson would be so kind as to act as my co-partner with him using his name , his business contacts ,legal associates and financial muscle to ensure that the idea is feasible and that as a partner the best possible financial deal is secured.

The idea has the potential to generate employment, drastically reduce fossil fuel dependency by 25 to 55% for any major developing country and with such reduction of fuel dependency the upside is a MASSIVE REDUCTION IN GLOBAL CARBON DIOXIDE OUTPUT WITH INITIAL GLOBAL REDUCTION TARGETS OF A BILLION TO 5 BILLION TONNES OF CARBON DIOXIDE PER YEAR OVER A GIVEN PERIOD OF TIME.

The idea will impact on global warming by slowing down the global carbon dioxide output.

A globally organised reforestation programme to plant a billion trees in every country within the next few years will also help to purify the air and slow down global warming.

I look forward to hearing from Sir Richard Branson and would be interested in talking to him face to face since I am sure that the idea I have is so simple and is workable and can be marketed internationally as different size mobile units.

IN THE EVENT THAT SIR RICHARD BRANSON MAY BE OF THE OPINION THAT HE WOULD WELCOME THE IDEA OF BEING A CO-PARTNER THEN I WOULD LIKE TO PROPOSE THAT SINCE I AM CONFIDENT THAT MY IDEA WILL QUALIFY ME FOR THE $25 MILLION PRIZE TO REDUCE GLOBAL WARMING THEN A FAIR PROPORTION OF THIS PRIZE CAN BE USED TO DEVELOPE A PROTOTYPE OF MY CONCEPT IDEA WITH THE EXPRESS VIEW OF TARGETING GLOBAL MARKETS TO DRASTICALLY REDUCE WORLDWIDE CARBON EMISSIONS THEREBY EFFECTIVELY REDUCING GLOBAL WARMING.

SIR RICHARD BRANSON PLEASE CONTACT ME. I CANNOT MAKE MY IDEA A REALITY WITHOUT YOUR HELP. YOU ARE INTERESTED IN REDUCING GLOBAL WARMING , SO AM I. PLEASE GRANT ME AN AUDIENCE TO EXPLAIN MY CONCEPT IDEA. IT IS WORKABLE. IT IS PRACTIBLE AND WILL BE A GREAT CHALLENGING PROJECT FOR YOU TO EMBARK ON.

YOUR ASSISTANT MAY TELEPHONE ME IF YOU SO WISH ON MY WIFE'S MOBILE .................. TO ARRANGE A CONSULTATIVE MEETING. THANK YOU SIR. .......".

The idea is workable. With the $25million prize money that I know I the idea will win I intend to invest a substantial amount of it, whatever it takes to realise the reality of the idea. Errol Smythe

Global Warming Reduction

One way to effectively reduce global warming is to drastically cut down on carbon dioxide emissions by each country drastically reducing the usage of fossil fuels.
To reduce reliance on fossil fuels , alternatives energy sources have to be used more and more.
It is understood that most world economies rely unneccesarily on fossil fuels. Bold new iniatives can change that.An American company is looking at my concept idea of alternative energy sources that will revolutionize technology and marginally reduce reliance on fossil fuels,
In addition to reducing fossil fuel consumption each country should plant a targeted billion trees or more.As everyone knows , trees photosynthesise and convert carbon dioxide to carbohydrates, glucose , fructose etc.
the range of trees chosen may include citrus fruits so that the countries may benefit healthwise from eating fresh fruit.
Africa has a lot of arable land lying idle . A massive injection of capital, improved irrigation facilities by building dams in specific identified strategic areas ,good land husbandry, managed crop rotation, controlled grazing etc will see not only a reduction in carbon dioxide atmospheric levels but also an improved level of storage of food grain reserves.
