Kid care.. National Healthcare.. Mistakes very bad mistakes

I would love to know why everyone is in such a rush to turn this country into a socialist country? Everyone is jumping on this band wagon and it is a mistake. I am not a big Bush fan but thank God he vetoed this stupid health care bill. To use an ever decreasing revenue source to finance this bad idea is pathetic. Medicare which is paid for by every working person is broke,but taxing smokers 65 cents a pack is supposed to finance this bill? ARE YOU STUPID? or just plain dumb? Most smokers are in the low income bracket (88.7%) So you want to take more money from the poor so some high middle class family can drop their BC/BS for free care. And don't tell me that it wouln't happen because there is no doubt that it will, simply because there is this trend in America that it is OK to live off the government. IT IS NOT. OK!! This is the United States of America NOT repeat NOT the United Socialist States of America. Where has your pride gone? Where is your desire to be self sufficient?. The preamble of the Constitution say's "To promote the general welfare " NOT the Government should support us. Finally for those of you supporting a "national health care" plan try this on for size. In August I was diagnosed with a cataract, and being a truck driver it put me out of work, If we were to have a national health care plan modeled after say Canada, or the U.K. then this is what would happen.....The cataract is NOT considered an emergency or life threatening condition so I would get put on a waiting list. 9 to 12 months later I would get my Surgery free YIPPIE right? WRONG in saving myself 2,000.00 I lost 48,000.00 by not being able to work. Somehow Moron Moore neglected to put things like that into his visual call for socialism. But that does not surprise me.
