On February 9th, 2007 Al Gore and Richard Branson annoucned the Virgin Earth Challenge. The Virgin Earth Challenge is a prize of $25m for whoever can demonstrate to the judges' satisfaction a commercially viable design which results in the removal of anthropogenic, atmospheric greenhouse gases so as to contribute materially to the stability of Earth’s climate.

According to the contest rules, all submissions must be made through the contest's official website, VirginEarth.com.

According to TheClimateProject.org, the official website of the training, no new sessions are planned in the future. However, you can still sign up for training, in case this changes in the future.

AlGore.org is the creation of a grassroots, all volunteer organization dedicated to electing Al Gore President in 2008. We are in no way affiliated with, endorsed or funded by Al Gore, Gore 2000 or the Democratic party.

Al Gore has said he is not planning to run for President, but has not ruled it out. Many members of the media and many political experts believe that he will run in 2008.

We think he will. We think he must. We created this campaign to draft Al Gore in 2008, because we believe that Al Gore is one of America’s greatest patriots and our most visionary leader. America needs Al Gore in the White House, and we are going to do everything in our power to elect him.

• Has campaigned for Democrats at every level in the 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006 elections

Al Gore has announced several future projects to the press:

• "The Assault On Reason", a highly anticipated new book on the state of American Politics. "The Assault On Reason" will be released on May 22, 2007

• "Live Earth", a charity concert for global warming education, which will bring together more than 150 of the world’s top musicians for 24-hours of music from 7 concerts across all 7 continents. "Live Earth" is scheduled for July 7, 2007

Our goal is to restore Al Gore to the White House. As an unofficial, grassroots campaign, we are creating a functioning campaign so that by the time Gore does announce, he will have footsoldiers identified and in place around the country.

• Provide those supporters with the online and offline tools they need to make the Draft Gore movement a success.
• Promote Al Gore's potential candidacy to the blogosphere, media and Democratic party establishment.
